Staycations
Staycations are happening all over the US and for good reason. Times are tough and money may be tight for many, but that does not mean we can’t enjoy our homes even more than before. I have always loved to take some time off and just relax at home. Besides, vacations can be more stressful than relaxing.
When times get tough, most people tend to pull back and stay within their comfort zone. Your home, in most cases, is the safest and most comfortable place you can be. For most, our homes are our sanctuaries. Is this a bad thing? My short answer is no. I know a lot of people, regardless of the economy, already stay grounded at home and enjoy all that it has to offer.
Staycations are something that I have seen happening for a while now. We have had clients ask us, “Why should we go somewhere else and endure all the stresses and expense of traveling when we have our own piece paradise? We can sleep in our own bed, get up when we want and enjoy what we take for granted everyday.”
How many of us live in or near a place where people flock to vacation to? Enjoy what is local and take the time to do the things that others come to your area to do. Retreat back to the comfort and beauty of your own home and enjoy what you have.
If you plan on staying in your currant home for any length of time, your home is still a wise investment. Regardless of what we hear about home prices being up or down, your home is still your home. When you invest in your home you are also investing in your own well-being. Why not make it the home you have dreamed about?
Landscaping and water features are still and will always be a wise investment and opportunity for you to enjoy your home even more. An improvement to your landscape is still the number one investment you can make both financially and spiritually. Financially, the return on investment is still at the top of home improvements and spiritually, the investment is priceless.
After you have made the decision to invest in your home, stay a while and enjoy it. “Take a little time to smell the flowers, your flowers.”
