New Public Displays
Water is our passion and to have the opportunity to share and spread our passion is the ultimate pond fix. Earlier this month we had the opportunity to help teach and build two very unique water features for Wyatt Irrigation based out of Santa Rosa.
Wyatt Irrigation is the leading locally owned irrigation and plumbing supply company for Sonoma, Napa and Mendocino Counties and recently became an Aquascape Pro Pond Distributor. This is very exciting for us because Sweetwater Landscape is a Certified Aquascape Contractor (CAC). When asked by Wyatt Irrigation and Aquascape to build displays for Wyatt Irrigation we jumped at the opportunity. We were honored to be chosen to work along side and teach the great employees at Wyatt Irrigation how Sweetwater builds water features.
At the Santa Rosa Location, a pond was chosen to be constructed between an office building, parking lot and security fence. The spot was tight but a great spot for a pond. The ponds dimensions are roughly 9’x14’x2’ with a 6’ stream that cleanses and aerates the water as it enters the pond. This pond will be used a teaching tool for the Wyatt staff, as well as a public display for Sweetwater. One unique feature of this pond is that almost the entire third shelf of the pond is a fish cave providing a multitude of protection for the fish that will call this pond home. Stop by Wyatt Irrigation in Santa Rosa and check out their new pond and say hello to the staff as they helped build this little beauty. Located at the corner of Yolanda Ave and Petaluma Hill Rd in Santa Rosa.
Wyatt’s Petaluma location was the perfect spot for a Pondless® Waterfall at the front of the store. The visibility from the intersection and the In-N-Out Burger next door made this spot ideal. This Pondless® Waterfall is approximately 16’ in length and was created using both Basalt boulders and Sonoma Fieldstone for the rock work. This was the first water feature many of the employees at Wyatt had ever had a hand in building and I must say they have what it takes. If you are down in Petaluma or heading North from Marin, stop on by 1016 Lakeville Street in Petaluma and see this wonderful and tranquil babbling brook.
If you are after irrigation supplies or water feature parts and products, stop by and see Wyatt’s new water features.
