Sweetwater is excited to announce and ask for your participation in our 2nd Annual Water Garden Tour to benefit Bob Burke’s Kids Program. This one of a kind tour in Sonoma County features what we believe are some of the most beautiful and unique water features and gardens in our area, all created by Sweetwater Landscape.
If you participated in last years tour, Sweetwater Landscape and Bob Burke's Kids Program thanks you again for opening your homes and for your generous support. The feedback we received from tour participants and attendees was that this event went very smoothly and everyone had a great time. One attendee, a Master Gardener, stated, “This was the best tour of the year. I took more pictures on this tour than on any other.”
The tour will take place Saturday, May 22nd from 10AM to 5PM and Sunday, May 23rd from 10AM to 4PM, rain or shine. Yard signs will be provided to help attendees find your house. This is a self-guided tour with water features grouped in areas to help people visit the most water features in the shortest amount of driving. Tickets for the tour will be available for purchase through the Sweetwater website for $20.00 presale and $25.00 the day of the event. Tickets are good for both days of the tour.
About Bob Burke's Kids' Program
Bob Burke's Kids' is a year-round fun activities program for children with cancer and other serious illnesses. Activities include summer barbecues every Wednesday evening along the beautiful Russian River in Forestville, California. These delicious get togethers treat children to a day in the woods. During winter, there are bowling and trout fishing trips, plus pizza and Halloween parties. To celebrate the holiday season, children enjoy a Thanksgiving party and a Christmas social. For over 30 years, Bob Burke and his supporters have provided this loving, non-profit program for seriously ill children, teens, and for families who have lost a child. Bob Burke's Kids' Program operates solely by financial contributions from the public.
About Team in Training
Team in Training is a wonderful organization that my wife Michele has been involved with for years. In the past, she completed two marathons and more recently completed an Olympic distance Triathlon. This year, Michele and my son Justin are training for a Triathlon in Hawaii. I am very excited for them both and what a great mother son event. “Ordinary people doing extraordinary things.”
We look forward to seeing you all on the tour!
